Mentoring is the cornerstone to all of the 100’s programs and the foundation of its premier initiative, Saturday Leadership Academy (SLA). SLA is an exciting opportunity for young men, 8th-12th grade, to interact with caring adult mentors who are members of the Greater Washington, D.C. chapter. The program is designed to develop youth into leaders by inspiring them to identify personal dreams or goals and build action plans toward achieving them. As a SLA participant, students will grow and develop in challenging individual and team activities that feature both fun and educational field trips as well as opportunities for students to engage in community service.

Rave Reviews of SLA “Appreciation, respect, attentiveness, joy, worthwhile, fun and leadership. These are just a few words that come to mind regarding the 100. SLA engulfed my son in activities that challenged his mind and behavior. He not only became involved, he also evolved.” - Darlene Coachman – Parent of SLA Alumnus |
